Tourism in China:
Tourism in China has greatly expanded over the last few decades since the beginning of reform and opening. China has become one of the world's most watched and hottest outbound tourist markets.

Local Tourism:
Travel within china has become easier in recent years with the lifting of travel controls, massive investment in transport facilities, such as roads, railways and airlines, and the rapid rise in incomes.
The number of domestic tourists increased from 695 million in 1998 to 878 million in 2002!
China is the world's third most visited country in the world.

Year 7 geography

This is what we have done in year 7 geography.   We had to make a video of us describing the weather on the screen, it was really fun! Watch it and see what you think.
We made a rainforest assessment on the comnputers, we were pretending that we were on a trip to the rainforest and we ere catching fish, and looking at big fig trees, take a look at this photo of a massive fig tree. Have a read of my rainforest assessment:
Hello, the weather in this rainforest is very wet but mild. The temperature at the minute is 31 degrees. The trees have lots of lianas growing; there are lots of wild animals around. I have noticed lots of birds in the trees. There is quite a lot of vegetation, so it is quite dark down here. There are lots and lots of beautiful fish swimming in the lake. The weather is very humid.

An eco tourism holiday

An eco toursim holiday is getting away from all the pollution that people put into the air. It is not really a vacation holiday. You can go for an eco tourism holiday in Africa in Algeria. Large areas have been protected and National parks have been established. On your holiday you will see lots of animal such as pandas and gorillas. To get there you would get an areoplane. The climate in Algeria is typical of the Mediterranean, warm and dry in the summer, and winters are wet and cold. Normally you would stay in hotels or apartments, depends where you stay. An eco tourism holiday sounds very interesting and sounds like a very exciting holiday to go on.

Homework- Trip to see the Northern Lights:
You can see the Northern Lights from Iceland to Newzealand, Lapland to Antartica and Australia to the Arctic. To get there you need to tavel on an areoplane. If you would like to stay in Sweden to see the Northern Lights, you would stay in the Ice hotel. If you wanted to stay in Iceland, then you would be staying in Blue Lagoon,  if you want to stay in Finland then you would be staying in log cabins, and if you wanted to stay in Norway, it would be a coastal cruise. To visit the Northern lights, it would cost £1,451 for an adult, and £783 for a child. On the trip you will go on cruises, most of the time you will be staying in snow houses or log cabins. It will be an amazing experience to go and see the Northern Lights, so why not give it a go!!
